About Maria E. Cross
Maria E. Cross has been a resident of North Royalton for most of her life, her parents moved here when Maria was 5 years old. The house was moved on the back of a large truck to a lot owned by Maria’s grandfather on Wiltshire Road.
Maria is a graduate of North Royalton High School as are her 3 children. She is married to Alan, they live on Ridge Road.
While working for the City of Cleveland – Cleveland Public Power, she held the position of Senior Clerk (Legal) and payroll clerk. Maria worked for a major Airline in payroll and created reporting systems for the facility department to track work repairs/progress. Some of you may remember Maria as the owner of The Coffee Garden – the coffee shop was located on Royalton Road near W. 130th.
Maria has been a radio/television personality for more than twenty years, has authored several children’s books (If Only I Could Ignore You and The Adventures of Slipster And Squeaker series), has emceed/hosted several charity events including: Our Lady of The Wayside; Breast Cancer Fashion Shows; Faces of Care; The Children’s Center; The Gathering Place; Cleveland APL and many more. Maria has been involved with non-profits and charities for more than 35 years.
